2005-02-24Luang_Prabang - A bit of a tourist trap, but still a beautiful town 5-7 hours north of Vientiane by bus. Had great food, beautiful scenery and conveniences like internet access. | |

2005-02-26Nong_Kiew - A much smaller village 6 - 10 hours north of Luang Prabang by longtail boat. Most people just rushed through, but I enjoyed it. | |

2005-03-01Muang_Ngoi_Neua - An much smaller village with bamboo huts for the villagers and backpackers alike. It was 1 hour farther north from Nong Kiew. Only electricity came from private generators and there was no phones. | |

2005-03-11Luang_Prabang - Tourist town, but pretty nice nevertheless. A World Heritage Site and great place to shop for Lao Silk, swim in waterfalls and eat good food! | |

2005-03-12Vang_Vieng - backpacker's ghetto AKA the "Khaosan Road" of Laos. But also a pretty beautiful area! |
